The term executive functioning refers to the set of cognitive skills responsible for attention, organization, planning, time management, emotional regulation and task intiation.
Those who have weaknesses in executive functioning often exhibit the following:
Difficulty remembering to bring home books and assignments
Assignments are completed but forgetten to be handed in
Space is disorganized
Difficulty getting started on tasks

Wait until the last minute to start assignments or to start studying
